LAKES FC JUNIOR TOURNAMENT 2026
Lakes Football Club is excited to launch our inaugural Junior Tournament Series in 2026. The tournament has been created to provide young footballers from across the Bay of Plenty and wider New Zealand with the opportunity to play new teams, enjoy a fun football environment, and experience a great day out in Rotorua.
This is not for competitive / academy teams, it is for regular mixed ability teams.
Our 2026 tournament will be held across two separate Sundays in June. Splitting the grades across two tournament days allows us to maximise field availability, accommodate more teams, and create the best possible experience for players, coaches and whānau.
The Lakes FC Junior Tournament will take place at Puarenga Park, Rotorua.

Tournament Information
The tournament will focus on participation, development and enjoyment for all players involved.
We are aiming for every team to play a minimum of 5 games throughout the day, with formats and scheduling confirmed once registrations close.
Food vendors and refreshments will be available onsite across both tournament days.
More detailed tournament information, including rules, draw formats, field maps and coach information packs, will be sent to registered teams prior to the tournament.
Registrations will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Why Two Tournament Days?
With large participation across the junior grades and the varying field requirements across grades, Lakes FC has chosen to split the tournament across two Sundays to maximise field usage and allow more teams to participate.
This structure helps create a smoother tournament experience while ensuring the event remains fun, well organised and development-focused for all players.
