About Us

Lakes FC was formed in September 2021 following the merger of two junior clubs, Eastlake Junior Soccer Club and Otonga Road Football Club - two clubs at the heart of the junior landscape in Rotorua.

At the time, each club had 200+ members (record numbers) but the forging of closer relationships between the two committees soon fostered the collective thinking that a single club could deliver more - new, exciting pathways beyond the junior landscape.

A fully amalgamated club was born (junior, youth and senior) with a vision to provide uninterrupted pathways for all. So that a member could join and play their football with that club, from any age, until the time they decided to stop playing. This new model meant players no longer had to end their eight-year pathway in the junior space and be left to try and find a club, but could continue their pathway with continuity, into youth football and beyond in a club with the same vision and values.

We pride ourselves on doing the right thing and creating great people that our communities and country will be proud of. Being a place for everyone to enjoy the beautiful game and to be part of our wider footballing family drives our passionate team of management and volunteers to ensure our home is fun, warm and inviting no matter what walk of life you are from.
