Referees
Be part of the game. Become a referee.
Do you want to know more about becoming a referee?
Football needs great referees just as much as it needs great players and coaches. At Lakes FC, we want to encourage more people to get involved, learn new skills, and play an important role in our local football community.
Whether you're a current player, a former player, a parent, or someone looking for a new challenge, refereeing is a fantastic way to stay involved in the beautiful game.
You don't need years of experience to get started. With the right learning, guidance and support, you can build your confidence and develop your refereeing skills one match at a time.
Why become a referee?
Refereeing is about more than knowing the rules. It's an opportunity to:
Stay involved in football and contribute to the game you love.
Build confidence by making decisions and taking responsibility.
Develop leadership skills that are valuable both on and off the pitch.
Challenge yourself and continue learning as you gain experience.
Give back to your community by helping players enjoy a fair, safe and positive football experience.
