It’s not every day that a football-mad parent arrives in a community with the time and passion to help the sport grow. For Ngakuru, this is now a reality. Since moving into the area, Stacey Jackson has thrown herself into developing the local game. Starting with futsal, she has coached both futsal and winter football teams and is keen to see football flourish across rural communities.
Our goal is to build participation numbers in the rural community through fun football sessions designed to get more country kids have a go, having fun and developing some new skills. As a club we are hugely values focused with our vision to make “Great Players. Better People.”
Our goal is to make players that love the sport, achieve their goals and become respected members of our community demonstrating great values on and off the field.

Who is Stacey?
Stacey was an integral member of the women’s set-up at Lakes FC in 2025, featuring in our W-League title-winning squad and in the promotion play-off matches. Dedicated to improving her own game, she has been working hard through the off-season while also taking part in the Women in Football programme run by NZ Football, which aims to develop more female leaders within the football community.
